MATRI PUJA |
In keeping with the cherished tradition of honoring one’s parents as the first teachers, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Borojalenga, conducted the Matri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh ceremony for the Class X students appearing in the 2024–25 board examinations. This solemn and meaningful event provided an opportunity for the students to express gratitude and reverence to their parents. In a deeply emotional gesture, students washed the feet of their mother and father and performed a puja, acknowledging the countless sacrifices and nurturing care they received throughout their upbringing. Accompanied by Vedic chants, they pledged to uphold their duties towards their family, society, and the nation.
The ceremony also included seeking blessings from their parents and teachers by touching their feet, signifying humility and respect. The Utsarga Samaroh aimed to instill in students a sense of responsibility toward their motherland and inspire them to strive toward becoming capable and conscientious citizens. As a symbolic representation of their commitment, students lit lamps in their names, dedicating themselves to the service of society and signifying a future full of promise and light.
