VKV Borojalenga is about 22 kms. from district headquarters Silchar. The school is located in a beautiful ambiance of natural surroundings of which the adjacent hillock was formerly used as golf course by the British Sahibs who owned the Borojalenga Tea Estates. The locality is full of tea gardens. Rosekandy Tea Estate is one of the prominent Tea Estates of this area. The majority of populations live on tea. West Jalenga Tea Estate 2.5 kms from school is famous for organic tea production. Huge quantity of tea is exported abroad.  Mahavirchera which is located at a distance of 2 kms from school is an important spiritual destination. Everyday many people from parts of the valley and outside take recourse to Mahavirchera located at the hill top of Borojalenga tea estate to seek Lord Mahavir’s blessings
